The Goliath Comedy Club is set to become a giant amongst the world’s top comedy clubs. Established in Melrose Arch, flair, function, fun and festivity come together in the creation of three bars, a VIP lounge, cigar lounge, wine cellar, multiple viewing decks and a Master-Chef kitchen.
Drawing from ideas of how comedy makes you look and feel, the designers at REIS created an intimate yet interactive space in which laughter becomes contagious. Comedic elements were incorporated into the design and detailing of seating, bathrooms and signage.
Interactive colour changing LED lighting features prominently in the window wall facades which the venue uses as timing and mood cues for the comedians.
The Grind Coffee Company
Based in Melrose Arch, within an exclusive cycle shop, The Grind Coffee Company is the brainchild of specialist barista and coffee connoisseur, Dayne Levinrad.
The design team at REIS drew inspiration from traditional farm-style kitchens and combined the idea with cogs and bicycle components to create an inviting service counter and bespoke furniture pieces and menu boards. Turning bicycle parts into furniture? Perhaps an odd thing to do but strangely fitting for this charming little coffee shop. Designed by REIS using repurposed table bases and Specialized bicycle wheels.
The result is a quirky and intimate little coffee shop that has become internationally famous for serving Dayne’s unique coffee in a cone.
